Parliamentary committee to probe Gold Coast Fund Management crisis

An ad-hoc committee formed by the Speaker of is set to conduct public hearings starting February 27, 2024, to probe the matter of locked-up funds of customers from the defunct Gold Coast Fund Management Limited. The committee was established following a petition presented to the House by Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, on behalf of the affected group.

The customers, through their petition, seek an investigation into the reasons behind the government's failure to release their locked-up funds. They are also demanding that the government fulfil its commitment to pay their investments.

The committee, chaired by , the Member of Parliament for Essikado-Ketan, will be dedicated to addressing the Gold Coast Fund Management crisis during its sessions from February 27 to February 29, 2024.
