We are working with Bank of Ghana to resolve these trade-related issues - GTBank on forex trading suspension

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Ltd (GTBank) acknowledges the announcement by the regarding the temporary suspension of its Foreign Exchange Trading Licence, effective 18th March 2024. In response, GTBank wishes to reassure its valued customers and stakeholders that immediate actions are underway to address and resolve the trade-related issues in collaboration with the Bank of Ghana.

GTBank emphasizes its commitment to prompt resolution and is actively engaging with relevant government agencies to rectify any defective documentation submitted. Concurrently, the bank is intensifying efforts to fortify its Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) policies to prevent future occurrences.

Despite the suspension of the Foreign Exchange Trading Licence, GTBank assures customers that this development does not impact other segments of its operations. All other services, including main branches, agency banking outlets, and digital platforms, remain fully operational for the convenience of its customers.

The bank sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this temporary suspension and appreciates the understanding of its esteemed clientele.   1. Stealing or trade-related issues? I blame the Bank of Ghana for allowing all these fraudsters cloaked as bankers to operate feely and unchecked. And when they’re reported by thousands of customers, their only punishment is a month suspension. I guess the Bank of Ghana is as fraudulent as these Nigerian crooks
